About the Meridian Arts Commission
The Meridian Arts Commission, established in 2007, is a six-member volunteer board appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. This group is dedicated to developing and improving the quality, quantity, accessibility and affordability of arts and culture for the citizens of Meridian.
The Commmission accomplishes this by:
- advising the City Council on matters concerning the performing and visual arts and culture
- encouraging and promoting the art activities of individuals, organizations, and schools

participating in the selection and placement of public art in Meridian

supporting arts education, conducting research, and providing information and assistance to local artists and cultural organizations

Exploring arts-related grant opportunities
The Meridian Arts Commission meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 pm at Meridian City Hall (33 E. Idaho Avenue - Meridian). Meetings are open to the public.

To promote and encourage all facets of the arts to make Meridian a premier place to live, work, and raise a family.

To create a thriving, vibrant, and diverse regional arts community where art is integrated into our everyday lives and enhances the identity of our city.
