The Meridian Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to enhance the community’s quality of life by providing innovatively designed parks, connected pathways, and diverse recreational opportunities for all citizens.
The Meridian Parks & Recreation Department’s administrative offices are located on the 2nd floor of Meridian City Hall. We also have a maintenance facility located at 1700 E. Lanark, off Locust Grove Road between Pine Street and Franklin Road.

Picnic Shelter Reservations
We are now accepting picnic shelter reservations for the warm-weather months of 2017.
For assistance in checking shelter availability or placing a shelter reservation, please call our office at (208) 888-3579 or visit us at our office on the 2nd floor of Meridian City Hall, located at 33 E. Broadway Avenue in downtown Meridian, and we will be happy to assist you. Picnic shelter reservations can be made Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, excluding major holidays.
Please note that full payment must be made at the time you place your shelter reservation. We are not able to "save" or "hold" shelter dates prior to payment. At this time we accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.
